Mishloach Manot

MISHLOACH MANOT

Mishloach Manot Initiative 5777/2017

Dear YILC Members,

In order to counteract the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement affecting numerous companies in Israel, the Sisterhood of the Young Israel of Lawrence-Cedarhurst has joined a group of shuls throughout the tri-state area in their BDS-revised theme - Buy Israeli, Deliver, Shaloch Manot.

In order to support Israeli businesses and commerce in the Yehuda and Shomron areas, we are preparing and packaging our Mishloach Manot with products that are made there. The objective is to send a message to the Israeli people that American Jewry stands in solidarity with them, to make as many people as possible aware that BDS is a serious threat to the Israeli economy and to simultaneously enjoy the of the produce of Eretz Yisroel.

By participating in the Sisterhood Mishloach Manot program this year you will simultaneously be helping to support Israel. Additionally, you will enjoy the beautiful assortment of products that have been chosen for the package and it is an easy way to let YILC friends know you are thinking of them.

Purim is on Thursday, March 24th. Once again, you have the ease to order online. The program has been extremely successful and we are confident that this year will be an even greater success!

Here’s how it works:

The minimum charge is $36.00 and this entitles you to 12 recipient families. If you choose less than 12 names, it is still $36.00. After the initial 12 names, there is a charge of $2.00 per name. If you want to send to the entire shul, the cost is $360.
